چکیده

Biogas is a promising renewable energy source; however, it needs to be upgraded increase its low calorific value. In this study, oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) was selected convert higher fuel standard. Prior establishing the scaled-up OCM process, effect organic/inorganic binders on catalytic activity examined. The selection and composition catalyst pellet influenced pore structure, fracture strength, pellets. It also observed that O2 supply from inorganic binder key factor in determining activity, based which pellets optimized. heating value increased 39.9 (CH4, Wobbe index = 53.5 MJ/Nm3) 41.0 MJ/Nm3 (OCM product mixture, 54.2 MJ/Nm3), achieving standard prescribed many countries (Wobbe 45.5–55.0 MJ/Nm3). reaction parameters (temperature, gas hourly space velocity, size system, CH4/O2 ratio) were optimized, followed by sensitivity analysis. Furthermore, stable for long-term (100 h) operation under optimized conditions.

The oxidative coupling of methane and the oxidative dehydrogenation of ethane over a niobium promoted lithium doped magnesium oxide catalyst

The promoting effect of niobium in a Li/MgO catalyst for the oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) and for the oxidattve dehydrogenation of ethane (ODHE) has been studied in some detail. it has been found that a Li/Nb/MgO catalyst with 16 wt % niobium showed the highest activity for the C, production in the OCM reaction; the activity at 600 “C was ten times that of the Li/MgO catalyst at the same...

MnTiO3-driven low-temperature oxidative coupling of methane over TiO2-doped Mn2O3-Na2WO4/SiO2 catalyst

Oxidative coupling of methane (OCM) is a promising method for the direct conversion of methane to ethene and ethane (C2 products). Among the catalysts reported previously, Mn2O3-Na2WO4/SiO2 showed the highest conversion and selectivity, but only at 800° to 900°C, which represents a substantial challenge for commercialization. We report a TiO2-doped Mn2O3-Na2WO4/SiO2 catalyst by using Ti-MWW zeo...
